Aubrey Wollett opens for Jay Leno

This past weekend, Aubrey Wollett opened up for Jay Leno, one of the most well known men on television for his hosting of  “The Tonight Show.” Wollett played a close to sold out show at the Stambaugh Auditorium in Youngstown, OH. Jay Leno came out to introduce himself and thank her for playing before the show. (pictured above.) “He surprised me by coming out during my soundcheck. I’ve always been a fan and have heard only great things about how down to earth he is, but I was not expecting that. He even called my family on the phone to say hi, I couldn’t believe it! I had to keep pinching myself the entire night,” Wollett says. Wollett captured the audience and took the stage with her poise, soulful voice, and her acoustic guitar playing. She played classics by Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, and of course a few of her own, including her song “Saltwater Gypsy” which was premiered on CMT.com. “This was a night I couldn’t hold onto long enough, it was magical. It will be one that I’ll never forget,” Wollett says. She hopes to play another show with Jay Leno as well as coming back to Ohio to play again.
